I got an email through today inviting me for an interview at Draw in Light!

So, so excited. Things haven't been going too well lately so it's a lovely change to have some good news. Hopefully I haven't jinxed it by writing this..

My lovely friend Molly has an online shop, selling beautiful one-off rings. They come in all sizes, and some are even adjustable. She currently has a selection of turquoise, black, and coloured glass gems set in silver-coated metal.

DRAW IN LIGHT

Working with Katie has been such a great experience & has taught me more about Fashion than University ever could. It's definitely spurred me on to get out there & get more internships under my belt. The next company I've set my sights on are duo Harry & Polly - also known as Draw in Light. (You can also follow them on Blogger.) I love their whole design ethos & approach to making collections. Every single piece is unique - thanks to their method of screenprinting. Definitely one to check out!

SNAKEYLICIOUS

Today was a veryyy good day! I managed to bag 2 Katie Eary pieces for just £50!

The first was 1 of only 2 snake print bodysuits ever made, from Katie's only womenswear collection. They retail at £150 each, but I got it for £30 (mega bargain!). The second - one of her AW/10 feather print tee's which retail at £120 - was mine for a mere £20. Beyondddd chuffed with these lovely little additions to my wardrobe!

PARIS

Since March I've been working for Menswear designer Katie Eary. After spending a while finishing off production of orders for the AW/10 collection, we started on SS/12! (It's roughly based on a mishmash of the French Foreign Legion / desert falconry / Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas..) A couple of weeks ago the Eary Army took the beginnings of the collection over to Paris for the London SHOWrooms, here are a few pics:

After years of deliberating/being lazy, I have finally(!) set up my own Etsy account. You can check it out here. So far there are just a few prints, but I'm hoping to get some more bits and bobs up soon. For the whole of July the prints are buy one get one free, with all proceeds going towards fabric costs for my Final Collection. Please people, be generous!
